The Braithwaite Gallery is delighted to be representing Artist Glynn Barker.
Glynn is a landscape artist from Beverley. He works almost exclusively in oils using a palette knife.
Glyn’s work shows a unique view of the location he is painting, being a collage of scenes rather than a formal representation. He is fascinated by the elusive quality of light and tries to capture this feel in his vibrant contemporary artworks.
The painting is in oil on a box canvas stretcher. Rather than frame his art traditionally, Glynn has painted the edge and a border on the front in a dark grey colour, which suits the artwork perfectly.
