Sticks and Stones
An original pastel by Yorkshire Artist Shaun Tymon
"Used to be 6ft of snow in the winter when I was a lad, or was I just smaller back then? There’s something incredibly satisfying about rolling balls of snow around the street until you can’t feel your fingers, and that was the easy part, the hardest thing was finding sticks and stones in the snow!"
My name is Shaun Tymon, I'm a self taught artist from Hull, I've always enjoyed drawing, painting and creating things for as long as I can remember, most of my artwork is based on my childhood and memories of growing up on the streets in Hull in the 80's / 90's Hopefully that nostalgia comes through in my work, I'm forever thinking up little characters, most of which have symbolic meanings behind them, my little character 'Wreny' for example is a nod to my late father who sadly past away, he was a bird fanatic and so you won't find little Wreny more then a stones throw away from his partner in crime his little feather friend wren.
Presented mounted in a black core white mount, outer mount dimensions 30x40cm.
