Shambles Showers, York by YorkArtist's resident artist Mark Braithwaite
from Mark's A Touch of Red Series
One of the most popular images in Mark’s York collection, this striking view captures the atmosphere of The Shambles on a typically English showery day. The red umbrellas and blazers of The Minster School makes the already spectacular medieval street even more stunning.
Did you know this is actually a Braithwaite family portrait? Artist Mark Braithwaite is on the left of the picture, and his wife and children also appear!
Mark drew the original in graphite pencil with Faber Castell Polychromos colour detailing. The prints are produced using the giclée printing process on paper.
The print is available in three sizes, all of which will fit standard metric frame sizes, and also presented in a choice of mounts - a single antique white mount, or a double mount with a white over black mount.
