A mounted litho print from an edition of 495 prints from renowned motorsport artist Tony Smith and publisher Washington Green.
Tony says "The 1967 Monte Carlo Rally was the fourth outright victory for the Mini Coopers and was the toughest and closest of their wins. A Lancia Fulva HF and a Porsche 911 were also set for victory, but heavy snow on the last day and right choice of tyres by BMCs Stuart Turner achieved another first for the Mini Coopers, this time driven by Rasuno Aaltonen and Henry Lindon."
The image shows the excitement of the fast paced race in terrible weather conditions; with Moni Cooper race number 177 in the lead; detailed pencil images of the Porsche 911, number 219 and Lancia Fulva HF, number 39 are printed in the paper border.
Also hidden on the artwork is Tony's small teddy bear, Bertie, who is added to Tony's artwork as a nod to his late friend, artist Terrence Cuneo, who always hid a mouse in his paintings.
