A Rediscovered View, Chapter House Street, York by YorkArtist's resident artist Mark Braithwaite
from Mark's A Touch of Red Series
Every winter, Mark heads into his studio to paint in oils; whatever piece he has been drawing over the summer gets put in a drawer in the studio to get finished at a later date. This drawing had hidden away in the drawer for several years until Mark rediscovered it recently!
The view of York Minster from the cobbles of Chapter House Street is simply breathtaking. Treasurers House (now managed by the National Trust) is behind the wall on the right.
Mark's picture, as usual, features Lucy the black cat, who today is not impressed that Willow the French bulldog is strolling down her street, along with her glamorous owner and her daughter, all in matching red coats.
The prints are produced using the giclée printing process on paper.
The print is available in three sizes, all of which will fit standard metric frame sizes, and also presented in a choice of mounts - a single antique white mount, or a double mount with a white over black mount.
