Peter Brook, RBA 1927-2009
Peter was known as 'The Pennine Landscape painter.' He included himself and his dog in many of his images.
His subjects are delightful in their simplicity and innocence. In this image we see only a wall with a dog sitting atop and the capped head of its elderly owner, huddled in an overcoat, who is standing on the other side. The title suggests that they are watching a cricket match but everything else is left to our own imagination.
This mounted print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity which reads:
"This is to certify the this print has been officially approved by the estate Peter Brook RBA. Only approved prints feature the Peter Brook logo within the image.
